Frequently Asked Questions

FEAR-ID enables you to have an online medical profile which can be easily accessed by First Responders, anywhere and at  anytime, through the use of QR codes or NFC technology.
You can add as little or as much information onto your profile as you like.

Subheadings within the emergency profiles include:

  • Basic information including height, weight and photo
  • Critical information including vital medical details
  • Emergency contacts
  • Medical conditions
  • Allergies
  • Emergency/rescue medications and where to find them
  • How to communicate with you, should you be visually or hearing impaired
  • Implanted medical devices
QR products work by the first responder:

  • Scanning the QR Code or enter fear-id.co.uk into any web browser
  • Entering your 6-digit User ID and 4-digit PIN number
For NFC products, the product is already programmed to your profile, meaning that the first responder would simply need to tap their phone against your FEAR-ID product to instantly view your profile.
Simply log into your profile and click ‘ID and PINs’ on the left-hand menu. You’ll then see a list of all of your linked products. Find the product you have lost, and click the minus symbol/remove row (-).

If your product is then found by a member of the public, anyone typing in the User ID and PIN will no longer be able to view your emergency details.

If you then find your product, simply log back into your account and link it back to your profile.

FEAR-ID products are all individually priced and subscription is free.
It’s best to consider the information that first responders would benefit from in an emergency, and what information you’d want shared if you couldn’t speak for yourself.

This may include next-of-kin information, medical conditions, allergies or any medications you may take. You can also upload documents such as implant information.

It is up to you what information you upload onto your FEAR-ID profile. But by taking full advantage of the FEAR-ID features, you’ll be providing the first responder with all the information they need to treat you in an emergency.

FEAR-ID provides a global service so you can join FEAR-ID from anywhere in the world (subject to internet connection)
Once you purchase a FEAR-ID product, we aim to dispatch your order the next working day, However, postal services do vary depending on bank holidays or postal delays.
We guarantee that your FEAR-ID product is made to a high standard.

FEAR-ID provides a warranty on all manufacturer defects from the dispatch date as follows:

  • 3 months for beaded items
  • 6 months for sports Bands, activity bands and leather bracelets

The Warranty covers:

  • defects in the material or workmanship of clasps, chains, or straps.

The Warranty does not cover:

  • repairs made by anyone other than FEAR-ID
  • products damaged from everyday wear and tear
  • tarnishing of silver
  • scratching of the disc, chain and attachments
  • damage resulting from misuse or accidental handling
  • exposure to lotions and creams
  • and lost/misplaced products

In the unlikely event that you have a problem with your FEAR-ID product within the warranty period, you can return the item to us for inspection and we will either repair or replace it. Your statutory rights are not affected by this guarantee.
